Week 9 Kenyan Drake. Nuff Said.

Suspense, drama, upset, letdown. All emotions of every sort for the week nine round of games came and went. Were you on the right side of emotion? Or stuck in a glass case of it? (Sorry, I dressed up as Ron Burgundy for Halloween this year so I had to put something about it in this). This is also how I imagine Jensen was all week beginning Thursday when Kenyan Drake did it to him. Feels good to hit the critics in the mouth huh Kenyan? I know it felt good for me.

We saw outstanding play from some and disappointment from others. Hopefully, you were on the right side of that probability equation. We’ll highlight that in the recap, but first, to the trade table!

Trade 1: Darth Belichick — Diggs Us Out

Royce Freeman — OJ Howard / 2nd Rd Pick

Meh. Both teams needed something somewhere I suppose. Moving on.

Trade 2: Darth Belichick — Boykin For A Penny

Nick Chubb / Golden Tate — Courtland Sutton / Kerryon Johnson

This trade is more interesting than the first one. To me, this trade shows Boykin For A Penny giving the nod of confidence in Keenan Allen and felt the injury to Kerryon was too much they needed to make a move. Keenan’s been brutal and nonexistent lately so clearly, Boykin For A Penny is expressing confidence in him rebounding if they’re willing to part ways with Courtland. Although they gave up Chubb, Darth Belichick got a good return back for him. Good trade both ways, pending Keenan Allen’s performance.

Trade 3: Grinderville — MikeTomlins Standard

Kenny Golladay / Aaron Jones — DeAndre Hopkins / Damien Williams / Joe Mixon

This trade feels like it was a bye week tilt that needed to be made out of necessity. MikeTomlins Standard gave up way to much in this trade in my opinion. DeAndre himself may have been enough to warrant Aaron Jones and Golladay, but recency bias can inflate trades at certain points in time and Grinderville got an impressive haul for those two guys.

Trade 4: Darth Belichick — MikeTomlins Standard

Jonnu Smith — Ty Johnson

Next. Moving on to the recap.

So I’ve already given out a few chirps early on to Zach so I’ll just get this game over with first. KENYAN DRAKE IS GOOD. Every game where he has gotten the workload he has performed spectacularly. No ifs, ands, or buts. He is good and deserves the opportunity. Now, probably one of Boykin For A Penny’s most disappointing career defeats saw another disappointment from the former San Diego Chargers. Devin Singletary appears to be coming into his own now though. Yeezus & J-How has benefited from the NFL Trade Deadline in Kenyan and Emmanuel Sanders. They’ll look to those two to give a continued boost to the team. Also, Russell Wilson is the MVP. Yeezus & J-How pulls off the impressive upset 169.62–121.06.

Although not completely over but much like Mark Walton. It’s probably time to suspend playoff hopes for Darth Belichick and co. Aside from Lamar, there’s an overall lack of consistency and explosiveness in the players. Dramatic highs and lows. Melvin Gordon appears to be taking on more and more work and that’s good news for Grinderville as they continue to fight to stay in the playoff hunt. We’ll see if DeAndre can provide the team with a boost. One last thing, it’s good to see John Brown performing like they were hoping he would in Arizona. Grinderville wins 121.48–102.82.

Like I stated in my midseason report, we shouldn’t be sleeping on this team and they are showing why. MikeTomlins Standard, albeit, Mike Evans is catching fire. They’ve found explosiveness and are finally starting to show what they couldn’t early on. BUT there are still some squeaky wheels on the team, i.e. Jamison Crowder. Greasing them up can only do so much. Maybe Aaron Jones and Kenny Golladay can patch that up. The injury / can’t get my life right bug continues to plague Tegrity Cucks as one of their bright spots in Preston Williams is now out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Awful news as like 75% of Tegrity’s roster is now unplayable. They should start asking the Giants to sit Barkley for the remaining year for precautionary reasons. MikeTomlins Standard wins 168.04–149.44.

Saved by the Bell is seeming to find it’s footing. This week surprisingly though it came from the air game as Ertz and Metcalf had their best games of the season. That was probably refreshing to see, especially from Ertz. Josh Jacobs is a stud and great all-around RB as well. Continue to see great performances from him. Everyone For Sale did all they could and they fought admirably, but it wasn’t enough this week. Tyreek provides them with a means to compete weekly, but I’m just glad this team continues to play with heart week in and week out. Saved by the Bell wins 180.64–146.86.

When you have somebody to combat the performance of Christian McCaffrey you stand a chance. Tyler Lockett did just that for Diggs Us Out this week. There were a lot of stakes in Dallas for Diggs Us Out this week (four to be exact) but they all performed just fine somehow. Jimmy G also finally looked like he’s worth all that money. Tommy Touchdown is like N’sync. Everyone knows who Justin Timberlake is, but nobody knows who the rest of the guys are. It’s the CMC show, and in the end, it’s just not enough to get it done on a weekly basis. Diggs Us Out wins 156.98–127.30.

Oh, how the mighty fall. What was once thought of as a godly team, TradeJoshAllen is looking a lot more demigod than god. But a demigod is still better than a mere mortal make no mistake. Thielen just pulled an absolutely painful stunt this weekend for TradeJoshAllen, but Chris Godwin is starting to look like he’ll be sitting back in his rightful spot at WR2 in Tampa. Pour 1out4 Mahomies did well containing the bleeding of losing Patrick Mahomes. We should expect him back for week 10 and that bodes well for the team and Travis Kelcie more importantly. David Montgomery is finally getting that work we all thought he would. Can’t say we’re surprised, Trubisky has been playing awfully. Pour 1out4 Mahomies will be looking to be a full-strength next weekend, for now, they win 127.80–104.46.

Spotlight Game of the Week: We’ll give the moment to the boys down in St. Chuck. TradeJoshAllen vs Tegrity Cucks

Both were preseason favorites who saw their seasons go in totally opposite directions.
